Young Drummers Competition with entries from 15 countries

The Young Drummers Competition accepted entries from 15 different countries. The 5-member jury led by Ghada Wali, the multiple-award-winning designer who developed an Arabic typeface that was chosen as one of the best 100 graphic design pieces in the world by the Society of Typographic Arts in Chicago, already got to work, and we can’t wait to see the winning idea. The author of the best idea will be awarded a 1,000 EUR prize by the Slovenian Tourist Board and Golden Drum Festival at the Golden Drum Awards Show awards powered by Mastercard on 23 September 2022 in Rovinj.

What will the juries be looking for?

»Personally, I will be searching for the moments of catharsis, you know when you think: ‘Man, I wish we did that…’ Ideas that have not been carried out in that way before, and seem so obvious and logical and perfect, as if they were always there, waiting for someone to notice them. That’s the work that provokes the most change. So, it’s up to you, and up to all of us together to take it to the next level, be smart and sharp as ever and show the way forward for our industry.« says Ana Šutić, Chief Creative Officer at New Moment Serbia and a member of our One-Channel Jury.
»I am expecting to see work that is so fresh and innovative that it would serve as a perfect proof for our generation being the most creative generation in history.« is excited Levan Lepsveridze, Co-Founder and Creative Chairman at Leavingstone, Georgia and a member of our Omni-Channel Jury.
»The last few years have demonstrated how communication can provide engagement, entertainment, and relevant content in people’s lives, reaching out to them in many innovative and unexpected ways. So in this jury session, I will look forward to pieces of communication that work in this direction, leveraging on the brands assets and values and bringing them to life in meaningful ways to people’s needs and curiosity.« explains Lavinia Francia, Creative Director of Ogilvy Italy and a member of our Omni-Channel Jury.
