Sounds great – but before you graduate, ask yourself: do you have enough practical experience to know what kind of job you’re actually looking for? If you’re interested in working at a PR agency that deals with strategic consulting, crisis communication, political communication, and media relations, an internship at Manjgura could be a great springboard for your career.

During an internship (if you’re lucky enough to get a good mentor and work environment) – or in the worse scenario, only after getting hired – you’ll learn why sometimes a briefing is chosen over a press conference (do press conferences even happen anymore?), why it’s essential to keep up daily with what’s being said and who’s saying it, and that writing a blog post or press release takes a lot more than just opening ChatGPT or similar tools.

That’s why now might be the right time to consider an internship that could provide you with additional knowledge and skills, and help you decide for yourself whether you want to pursue a career in this field.

If we haven’t scared you off yet, let’s get to the details – what it’s like to intern at a public relations agency, or more specifically, how to land an internship at Manjgura.

How to Apply

Send us your motivation letter and CV to posao@manjgura.hr. There are no other formal application requirements. Your CV can follow the classic Europass format or be something unique – it’s your choice. We don’t make decisions based on previous work experience, but we do care about your qualities, motivation, and abilities. Your field of study doesn’t have to be a perfect match, but a genuine interest in public relations is a must. What matters most in this first step? Your writing skills and how you approach this task – your self-presentation. Within a few working days, one of our team members will contact you with either a proposed internship date or more information.

What You’ll Learn

Approach your internship responsibly. It lasts five weeks, which is enough time to learn the basics, though not to become a PR expert. You’ll learn how agency work is structured, what an average (and not-so-average) day looks like, how to do media monitoring and press clipping, how to use WordPress and similar tools to manage communication channels, and you’ll even get to publish some original content. Depending on ongoing projects, you may be involved in creative campaign development, event planning, maybe even crisis communication – and through daily interaction with experienced consultants, you’ll learn a lot about agency dynamics, client relations, and strategic thinking in communication.

Internship in Manjgura is not a one-way street – you’re encouraged to ask questions, request clarification, and pitch your ideas. An outsider’s perspective is often very valuable and can shape the direction of a campaign. Usually, you’ll have one mentor who monitors your progress, guides you, and provides feedback. However, most interns work across multiple teams, campaigns, and sectors. We use Microsoft Office tools daily, so if you’ve listed “proficient in Microsoft Office” in your CV, we’ll know whether that’s true pretty quickly. You should know how to format documents and understand what to do when we return a document with track changes. We’re okay with using AI tools if they help with research or task execution – but copy-pasting and turning your brain off is not tolerated.

What’s Expected from You

What we need from you is to treat the internship seriously, which means: Arriving on time every day, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. We understand that occasional absences may happen – we trust you, and just want to know that if things get hectic, we can count on your support.

Everyone who completes the five-week internship receives a certificate of completion. Those who truly shine may get a recommendation – and those who blow us away might even get a chance to stay and work at Manjgura.

If we’ve scared you a bit – don’t worry. Most of our consultants started out as interns, and we wouldn’t be who we are today without them.

If you think you meet our expectations and want to work with the Manjgura team, send your application to posao@manjgura.hr.

P.S.
