Manjgura agency wins IPRA GWA – the world’s PR Oscar for communication

This is the fourth prestigious award this season for one of Croatia’s oldest public relations agencies

Public relations agency Manjgura has just won the prestigious IPRA GWA (International Public Relations Association Golden World Awards) in the public sector category for the campaign “Justice served: Historic rise of judges’ salaries.”

The campaign spanned several months, during which Manjgura provided communication support to the Croatian Judges Association, culminating in the largest increase in judges’ salaries in recent history.

Known as a kind of PR Oscar, the IPRA Golden World Awards competition was launched in 1990 and has since continually encouraged excellence in the PR industry. This year, 48 jury members evaluated numerous entries from around the world in 38 categories. The IPRA GWA is Manjgura’s third award for the project with the Croatian Judges Association. In June, the agency received two Polaris awards in London, prestigious global awards for political communication. The Manjgura team in the campaign for the Croatian Judges Association included founder and director Krešimir Macan, senior consultant Anamarija Hrvoić Đurić, and junior consultant Dora Novak.

“Congratulations to the Croatian Judges Association for their determination and courage to correct a long-standing injustice in the inconsistency of public service salaries. Also, congratulations to our team from Manjgura, who achieved a historic result through a ten-month, extremely intense and dynamic campaign, once again demonstrating how clear and timely communication is essential in every sector. The individual approach and comprehensive solutions that Manjgura offers to clients have proven to be a winning combination once again,” said Krešimir Macan, thanking the IPRA GWA expert jury for their trust and recognition.

The IPRA GWA is also the fourth prestigious award for Manjgura this year. In April, Manjgura had won the only gold among fourteen finalists of the Grand PRix of the Croatian Public Relations Association with the conference „Sales Mindset: The Wolf Strikes Again“, for the client Sales Mindset. The highest domestic recognition for communication professionals for innovation and expertise in project implementation was won in the Organization and Communication of Events category, with the conference on November 17, 2023 in Zagreb, featuring former broker and the real Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort as the main star. With the same project, Manjgura also reached the IPRA finals in the Event Management category.

It is worth mentioning that this year’s final judging of the prestigious IPRA GWA (International Public Relations Association Golden World Awards) was held in Croatia for the first time, specifically in Zagreb and was hosted by Manjgura, whose founder and director Krešimir Macan also participated as a jury member. This represents a significant success for the Croatian PR scene, as his colleague Marina Bolanča Radunović from the Abeceda komunikacija agency was also in the jury. Macan and Bolanča did not judge in categories where their agencies were finalists. In addition to the work for the Association of Croatian Judges, the IPRA jury this year awarded eight more campaigns from Croatia (10 golds in total for 9 campaigns). Along with the 16 IPRA GWA previously won in Croatia, this brings the total to 26 world golds for Croatian PR since 2015.

The award ceremony will be held at the IPRA GW gala event in Belgrade on October 18, 2024 – so be sure to reserve your spot on time.
